Ruaidhri and Vanessa were originally scheduled to have a large wedding for 150 guests at Dundas Castle in September 2020, with the groom’s party traveling from throughout the UK and the bride’s party traveling from North America. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and international travel restrictions put in place, it soon became clear that their wedding could not go ahead as they had imagined. Despite Covid-19, it was still important to Ruaidhri and Vanessa to get married during 2020, so they decided to plan an elopement wedding. 

The current guidelines in place by the Scottish government mean that weddings are restricted to a maximum of 20 people. For many, this isn’t in tune with the big day they’d been envisioning but don’t be put off - a small, romantic, intimate wedding can still be every bit as beautiful as you’d envisioned.
